The internet. A wondrous tool. One that allows people to connect with each other from all over the world. It has opened up avenues in gaming that were previously restricted to garage LAN parties.

But it has lead to something that no one expected, well, not initially anyway. Always on DRM. Cleverly hidden behind the excuse of "social integration"

Microtransactions - The end of an era

Sure, track and car sold separately. Seems legit

Micro-transactions, love them or hate them, they surely are a hot topic at the moment. With the likes of AAA games such as Diablo III and DeadSpace3 going the route of the microtransaction, it really brings to mind  a question… Is this the end of an age? Are we, the older generation gamers, becoming a dying breed?
